MENU : 19th of October, 2011 : wednesday dinner

In most of the world, chestnuts signify the great season that is fall. That is no different here in the Pacific Northwest. These chestnuts come to us from the Yakima valley, and will be enjoyed at tomorrow night’s dinner.

The menu for the fourth Idyll Edulis Wednesday dinner was a warm welcome to the new season, in which the first signs of autumn were showcased, starting with squash, lingering with wild mushrooms and ending with apples.

It was a typical drizzly fall evening in Seattle. Quite frankly, the perfect weather for venturing to a cozy neighborhood home to enjoy a beautifully warm meal among friends, new and old.
